(WANE) -- One person is dead after a van hit a man in the road in front of his house on State Road 114 in Whitley County on Friday.The Indiana State Police said the crash happened around 6:30 PM in the 6500 block of State Road 114, which is about five miles east of North Manchester.A preliminary investigation showed Carl W. One in critical condition after man claims he shot in 'self-defense' in Grant County

GRANT COUNTY, Ind. (WANE) -- One man is in critical condition after he was shot in self-defense at his residence in Grant County Friday afternoon.
According to a press release, Grant County Sheriff's Deputies responded to the 7000 block of South Strawtown Pike near the Marion Municipal Airport just before 1 p.m. Friday.
